Medical Records Representative is responsible for requesting medicals records, making follow up calls to medical providers, and coordinating payments for medical records.
Essential Functions:
- Process incoming and outgoing mail and maintain closed client files
- Request medical records pursuant to client requests
- Make follow-up calls to medical providers regarding status of medical records requests
- Process outgoing mail for the firm for pick-up and delivery to the mailbox/post office
- Receive all incoming mail and forward it to Document Processing Department
- Coordinate payments for medical records
- Maintain closed client files
- Effectively utilize case management software to manage workload, document all work, case expenses and payments, and communicate with firm employees
